One sunny afternoon Love suggested a game of Hide-n-seek.
Anxious not knowing what Love was talking about blurted out “how do you play,”
Love said I will cover my eyes and count to 1000 while I am counting all of you
hide. Once I get to 1000 I will come find you. Sad wipes her tears showing that
she would love to play, excited jumps up and down showing she would also love
to play. So love starts to count one, two, three… lazy was the
very first one to hide falling behind the first rock he seen. Faith and Hope
flew to hide upon the clouds, courage climbed to highest part of the highest
peak, passion hid in the depths of the ocean. Anger and greed went to the
bottom of a volcano because they thought love would never look in place like
that. Loves says 999 but desire still hasn’t found a spot yet. He runs
frantically trying to find a spot he hides on the petals of a rose bush. 1000
yells love and off she goes searching for all of her friends. She hears Faith
and Hope giggling on the cloud and she finds them she walks to the closes rock
knowing lazy wouldn’t have gone that far.
She eventually finds everyone but desire. Love searches and searches and
stops right in front of the roses bush falls to her knees crying and says oh
Desire give me a hint I have searched everywhere for you and I still can’t find
you. Desire jumps off the peddle wraps love in his arms and says I was right in
front of you the whole time. That was the fable I wrote for Mrs. Caffeys class,
well after I wrote it, it made me think is love really blind? I came to the conclusion
why indeed it is blind. I have known this guy for quite some time and I dated
him before but it never really meant anything. Well I started talking to him
again and I don’t know what took me so long to realize how UHMAEZING he is. He is
the type of guy where you go to his house and he will go outside to warm your
car before you leave, the type of guy who brings you lunch, knows just what to
say when your world has come crashing down. It took me quite some time to
realize that the guy I been looking for was right there in front of me the
whole time just like desire was for love
in my fable. I believe God blinds love
to make it much more special once we do find it.
Hope, I absolutely loved listening to your fable in class. You have so much creativity that sometimes you don't even see yourself.I comopletely agree with you; love is blind. It is a beautiful thing to be able to find love like you have. I hope it stays in your heart for as long as you live. I'm so glad you see God's good intentioins in the things that may seem complicated at times.
ReplyDelete- 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves.
I love you. -Payton

ReplyDeletei just have to tell you that your fable for mrs. caffey class was truely my favorite! it had me guessing and thinking to what it was about! and in the end, love is blind! i love that type of saying...not everyone is able to have that loved one in our life but to have a friendship, family member or teammate tell you they love you makes up for it. its an amazing feeling to have that someone cheer you up when your feeling down, know exactly how you love your food, and isnt afraid to show other their love for you. if you ever seen the movie, a walk to remember, her husband said "our love is like the wind, you cant see it but i can feel it." tells us that love is all around us in many different ways and its gods most grateful gift to us! :)
