About two weeks ago I went to a church retreat, when I was
there they talked about keep our fires lit. Well I was thinking and I realized
my fire is slowly going out so I decided to fix that. One way I was going to
was by spreading the “love” and talking to someone I usually wouldn’t talk to.
Well I was walking down the hall way and I notice this guy who is walking alone
and is keeping to himself as if he was scared or shy, right then I knew I
needed to say hey to him. So that’s exactly what I did. He very quietly said
hey back with a little smile on his face. I seen him every day I walked rite by
him every day, not once had I noticed him till then. No one wants to feel like
that like they are unwanted or invisible. Just because they aren’t the most
popular kid in school doesn’t mean they don’t need a little lovin too. Being different
is a beautiful thing sometimes it just takes a little to realize that. Now I
see that guy every day, I make sure to say hey and he always says it right
back, the best part is his smile gets even bigger the more I say it. So see,
you can do the simplest thing and it can be the most rewarding. Not only did this help me make my fire a
little brighter but I know it brighten his day a little bit too. So I have a
challenge for all my followers I challenge you to reach out to someone this
week someone who seems to “blend in” and let them know that they are important.
Some of Gods most gracious gifts might not be able to be seen or touched but
they can be felt at the heart, and in this situation it can not only be felt in
your heart but the hearts of those surrounding you. Have a blessed day <3
and keep all your fires burning J
Hope :) I really enjoyed your blog. This is something that makes me smile. Just to see a kind heart show through another person. I really like how you said
ReplyDelete".. it can not only be felt in your heart but the hearts of those surrounding you."
I see so much truth in those words. I agree with you and think it is quite important to do something or say something to show people that they are important in their own unique way.

Hope, this is really touching. As a person who has had their day brightened by a random act of kindness I can truly affirm what you say here. Even when you're already having a good day, smile and a warm hello can brighten your mood. The positive effect of those words may be small right at this moment, but who knows. Even the tiniest pebble makes ripples in a still pond. Keep on keeping on.

Hope, I appreciate your Christian theme. I think it's great how you're letting us know what you believe and that God is a big part of that. This post made me think of a verse that I learned about in church today. The last 2 lines say " And thus we see that by small means the Lord can bring about great things." I'm glad to see that you are been that small tool that God is using to bring about great things. Keep it up
